Loire Valley

Loire Valley has been known for its beautiful landscapes, and pretty white wines, but it was also the Playground of the French nobility. White wines from this region are from West to East: Muscadet, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, and Sauvignon Blanc.  The most notable are Chenin Blanc from Vouvray, and Sauvignon Blanc from Sancerre.  Red wines are Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc from Chinon, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
